The Selangor MCPF with the partnership of the Sunway Group is launching a Safety and Security Campaign 2016 in the Bandar Sunway Integrated City throughout the month of August to coincide with the Crime Prevention Month which also falls in August.. Various programmes and activities will be launched including awareness talk and demonstration on crime and narcotic issues and the threat on terrorism. Apart from that we will also be having exhibitions from the Police on crime, narcotic and career guidance in the Police Force. The target audience are ranging from kids, university student, staff of Sunway, tenants and business operators, security practitioners and also Resident Association members in the Bandar Sunway Township Complex. The program on August 17th 2016 for the second session is opened to Resident Association members of Bandar Sunway and is on first come first serve basis and seats are limited.  
       
  THE SELANGOR MCPF IS ORGANIZING A ‘MEET THE MEMBER SESSION’ ON APR 7th APR 2015 FROM 2.00 PM TO 7.00 PM AT THE SUNWAY LAGOON CLUB. THIS SESSION IS ONE OF ITS KIND WHEREBY DURING THIS EVENT 25 MCPF MEMBERS FROM SELANGOR STATE WILL BE EXPOSED ON THEIR ROLES AND FUNCTIONS AND THE ROLE THEY COULD PLAY IN CRIME PREVENTION IN THE SOCIETY. MASTER SAIFUL FROM THE KICK START ACADEMY WILL CONDUCT THE TRAINING.  
       
  UPON THE PROPOSAL BY THE SELANGOR MCPF, THE FEDERAL MCPF HAS ENDORSED THAT THE MCPF APART FROM HAVING COMMITTEES AT THE FEDERAL AND STATE LEVEL, SHOULD ALSO FORM THE DISTRICT LIAISON COMMITTEE (DLC) TO ENSURE THAT CRIME PREVENTION EFFORTS ARE ALSO BEING CARRIED OUT AT THE GRASS ROOT LEVELS. TO THIS EFFECT ALL THE 15 POLICE DISTRCTS IN SELANGOR WILL BE HAVING A DLC.  
       
  THE SELANGOR MCPF, THE DISTRICT OFFICE OF KUALA LANGAT TOGETHER WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITY OF KUALA LANGAT DISTRICT WILL BE ORGANIZING A CRIME PREVENTION CAMPAIGN ENTITLED ‘COMMUNITY SAFETY’ ENCOMPASSING THE URBAN AND RURAL COMMUNITIES OF THE KUALA LANGAT DISTRICT BEFORE MID 2015.  
       
  THE SELANGOR MCPF IS ALSO CONTEMPLATING TO HOLD A MEGA ‘CRIME PREVENTION CAMPAIGN’ BEFORE MID 2015 AND TO BE ORGANIZED BY AN EVENT ORGANIZER AND AS A PART OF FUND RAISING ACTIVITY.  
       
  THE SELANGOR MCPF WILL ALSO BE EMBARKING ON FORMING MORE CRIME PREVENTION CLUBS (CPC) IN THE INSTITUE OF HIGHER LEARNING AND TO DATE TWO OF SUCH CLUBS HAS BEEN FORMED IN UNISEL AND UNITEN.  
       
  AS CRIME INVOLVING NON SCHOOL GOERS AGED BETWEEN 7 YRS OLD TO 18 YEARS OLD HAS BEEN ON THE INCREASE COMPARATIVELY BETWEEN 2013 1ND 2014, THE SELANGOR MCPF WILL STRIVE FURTHER TO CONDUCT MORE ACTIVITIES WITHIN THIS QUARTER.  
 
  THE SUNWAY GROUP HAS DONATED RM200,000 TO THE SELANGOR MCPF ON 29 AUG 2014, IN ORDER TO ENABLE THE SELANGOR MCPF TO CONDUCT MORE ACTIVITIES IN YEARS AHEAD.  
       
  THE PDRM HAS APPROVED 450 AUXILIARY POLICE (AP) PERSONNEL TO THE GROUP AND TO DATE 317 HAS BEEN SENT FOR TRAINING AND ARE SERVING IN THE BANDAR SUNWAY TOWNSHIP AND OTHER SUNWAY SUBSIDIARIES IN PENANG, IPOH AND JOHOR. THE AP PERSONNEL HAS INDEED CONTRIBUTED TO THE CRIME PREVENTION EFFORT UNDER THE SUNWAY GROUP.
